Pingdom | Ping Rock

Pings (pinguicula) are awesome. They catch those pesky little gnats in our house and use them as fertilizer, and reward us for their meal with absolutely beautiful little flowers. Low maintenance AND pretty. That's the perfect combo, right?

You can keep them in pots like everything else, but there's also a way to do it out there called a "ping rock" or, if you want to sound all grandiose about it, a "pingdom."

Back when I was first starting to propagate my pings and catching the bug for carnivorous plants (see what I did there? HAH), I wanted to build a pingdom, and my teenager wanted to do a Youtube video, so we combined the two - and with some fun video editing, made this entertaining video. I hope you have as much fun watching it as I did making it!

A beginner build of a ping rock. Note that you can see from the picture what it looks like now. I changed the structure a bit, and things are growing like crazy!

I hope everyone is doing well out there. Hit me up if I can help you out with anything! I jump on chats as soon as I can, but I've found the site is a tiny-bit slow to notify me that you're reaching out, so hang tight for a bit and I'll hopefully pop in. Otherwise I just fired up my Facebook page and you can get me there, too!
